This course dives into the unique mechanics and manual of arms that define the 1911\, using diagnostic drills and skill-building exercises to help you run the platform with greater efficiency\, precision\, and control in both defensive and performance-focused contexts. Participants must be proficient in safe gun handling and holster work. \nTHIS COURSE WILL THOROUGHLY COVER \n\n\n1911-specific safety protocols and manual of arms \n\n\nBuilding an efficient draw stroke with frame-mounted thumb safety engagement \n\n\nPrecision marksmanship and trigger control with a single-action trigger \n\n\nReload techniques for single-stack magazine systems \n\n\nDiagnosing and clearing malfunctions unique to the 1911 platform \n\n\nRecoil management and cadence control \n\n\nTarget transitions and rhythm drills to build repeatable accuracy under pressure \n\n\nREQUIRED EQUIPMENT \n\n\n1911-style handgun (any caliber) \n\n\nQuality belt and belt-mounted holster (no leather holsters\, Serpas or collapsible holsters) \n\n\nMinimum of 3 magazines \n\n\n200 rounds of factory ammunition \n\n\nEye and ear protection \n\n\nAppropriate range attire \n\n\nEVENT REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS\nCourse Transfer: With 72-hour advance notice of the event date we will issue a unique re-registration code for course transfers.\nCancellation Refund: Refunds for 50% balance of event fee\, if no transfer is possible\, are issued in the form of store gift cards only but ONLY if we are notified of the cancelation up to 72 hours in advance of the event date.\nNo-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.\nSame Day Cancelations: Same day cancelations are non-refundable as spots in classes are quick to fill and we will be unable to resell that spot in the event or give an individual on a waitlist adequate time to purchase that spot.
