DESCRIPTION:DEFENSIVE HANDGUN with Tatiana Whitlock\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\nThis 8-hour class is designed to develop safe & well-rounded shooters. Defensive Handgun is an Intermediate Handgun for Self Defense that has you moving\, shooting\, and problem-solving. Learn the essentials of non-standard positional shooting (Yoga with Guns!)\, critical movement skills\, engaging from a seated position\, and partner drills. Emphasis is towards drills and scenarios that simulate having children or family as part of a deadly force encounter and how to manage them to keep them safe. This class is a fast-paced yet detail-rich program. Those wishing to work from concealment are welcome. \nEXPERIENCE LEVEL: Students should have at least taken a basic handgun class within the past year and have a solid grasp of range etiquette and gun handling\, holster and safety skills.\nDURATION: 8-Hours\nCOURSE FEE: $250\nRANGE FEE: $35 (Active Howell’s Members do not pay range fee) \n\n\n\n\nEQUIPMENT \n\n\n\n\n\nWorking handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)\n250 rounds of factory ammunition\nMinimum of two (2) magazines\, 3 magazines are recommended\nEye & ear protection\nOWB Holster (Outside the Waistband). For safety reasons bra holsters\, soft side collapsible holsters\, cross draw\, Serpa-style push-button\, ankle\, off-body\, and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course. Contact with questions.\nMagazine pouch(s)\nSturdy gun belt\nMed Kit (If you do not yet own one please consider investing!)\nPlease pack your lunch\, adequate snacks and hydration (both water AND electrolytes).\n\nATTIRE: Range appropriate attire: long pants\, closed-toe shoes\, high collared shirt.
