DESCRIPTION:Defensive Handgun with Tatiana Whitlock\nEXPERIENCE LEVEL: Students should have at least taken a basic handgun class within the past year and have a solid grasp of range etiquette and gun handling\, holster and safety skills.\nDURATION: 8-Hours\nCOURSE FEE: $250\nRANGE FEE: $35 (Howell’s Members do not pay range fee) \nCLICK HERE TO ENROLL!\nGet ready for a fast-paced\, dynamic 8-hour Defensive Handgun course that will push your skills to the next level! Designed for intermediate shooters\, this class combines movement\, shooting\, and real-world problem-solving to develop confident and well-rounded defenders. You’ll master essentials like non-standard shooting positions (think “Yoga with Guns!”)\, critical movement\, engaging from seated positions\, and partner drills—all while learning how to manage deadly force encounters. With a focus on practical drills and realistic scenarios\, this course will prepare you for high-pressure situations\, and if you want to train from concealment\, you’re welcome to do so! \n\n\n\n\nEQUIPMENT \n\n\n\n\n\nWorking handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)\n250 rounds of factory ammunition\nMinimum of two (2) magazines\, 3 magazines are recommended\nEye & ear protection\nOWB Holster (Outside the Waistband). For safety reasons bra holsters\, soft side collapsible holsters\, cross draw\, Serpa-style push-button\, ankle\, off-body\, and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course.
