DESCRIPTION
This course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of NRA Basic Pistol also offered at Howell’s. Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. This information will be provided via email in advance of course to be completed and brought in for day one of this program.

  • Closed toe shoes, High collared shirt, Long pants suggested, Brimmed ball caps recommended

EVENT REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Course Transfer: With 72-hour advance notice of the event date we will issue a unique re-registration code for course transfers.
Cancellation Refund: Refunds for 50% balance of event fee, if no transfer is possible, are issued in the form of store gift cards only but ONLY if we are notified of the cancelation up to 72 hours in advance of the event date.
No-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
Same Day Cancelations: Same day cancelations are non-refundable as spots in classes are quick to fill and we will be unable to resell that spot in the event or give an individual on a waitlist adequate time to purchase that spot.
