TATIANA WHITLOCK – Director of Training

Tatiana Whitlock is a firearms safety educator specializing in concealed carry, EDC strategies and training that bridges the gap between fundamental skills development on the range and real-world, context-based applications. She offers educational opportunities for both new gun owners and experienced shooters with an emphasis on concealed carry and self defense in courses offered at venues the country. Tatiana is a certified NRA BPI, RSO and Refuse to Be a Victim and USCCA instructor. She is the Director of Training at Howell’s Indoor Range and Shooting Academy in Gray, Maine and the National Director of Training for the women’s shooting league, A Girl and A Gun. She is a member of the Walther Defense Division, a contributing author for numerous industry publications, the NRA Women’s Network , co-host of Responsibly Armed Radio, and a featured host & instructor on Trigger Time TV airing on the Pursuits Channel.

DEBBY SCHILLING – Certified Instructor

Debby Schilling is an NRA Training Counselor, avid outdoors-woman, hunter, and educator. She has been the director of numerous NRA programs, shooting teams, gun clubs, and clinics across the country. She especially enjoys bow hunting and muzzle loading hunting. Her love of teaching and sharing knowledge drives her to constantly want to expand her own knowledge and hone her skills as a shooter. Debby is certified in all NRA firearms training programs and champions our NRA curriculum for new students and those looking to pursue their NRA Instructor certifications. As an NRA Appointed Training Counselor, Debby is qualified to teach pistol, rifle, shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection inside and outside the Home, Muzzle loading firearms, Metallic and Shot shell reloading, Range Safety Officer and Chief Range Safety officer, all at the basic level and instructor level. She is also an NRA Level 1 Pistol Coach, a Refuse to Be a Victim Regional Training Counselor, an NRA Hunter Education Instructor, an NRA Women on Target Clinic Director, a 4H Rifle and Archery Instructor, a USCCA Instructor, a Sabre Red Pepper Spray Personal Safety Academy Instructor, and a CMP GSM Master Instructor.

TAMMY ACKER – Certified Instructor

Tammy Acker has had a career in nursing spanning the past 35 plus years.  She has extensive exposure to the firearms industry on the manufacturing and design side through a family owned business. She enrolled in her first formal firearms class in and was instantly captivated by how relaxing yet empowering the experience was. She continued her training in various handgun disciplines and ultimately obtained her NRA certification as a Pistol Instructor as well as Range Safety Officer and is a certified USCCA instructor as well. In addition she became certified by the College of Trauma Surgeons as a Stop the Bleed instructor. She has experience teaching handgun classes at Scarborough Fish and Game as well as teaching beginner and advanced tactical handgun in the private sector. Additionally and of particular pride to Tammy, she has taught numerous all women’s handgun classes, a group she enjoys immensely.  Tammy is particularly interested in working to develop safe shooters from the ground up with an emphasis on solid basic shooting fundamentals.
