4/9/26 – Intro to Holster

Introduction to Holster Skills is a focused, 4-hour in-person course for shooters who want to build safe, repeatable skill drawing from a hard-sided outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster. Whether you’re headed toward competition, structured range training, or simply expanding your practical handgun skills, this class gives you a solid, hands-on foundation.

You’ll learn essential firearm safety, range procedures, how to choose an appropriate holster, and the fundamental motor skills for safe draws. Expect thoughtful, hands-on coaching, simple step-by-step progressions, and a supportive group of fellow learners.

Required Equipment

• Eye protection & hearing protection
• Functional semi-automatic handgun in .22 LR, .380, or 9mm
• Hard-sided, outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster (no bra holsters, purse carry, inside-the-waistband (IWB), push-button retention, or soft/fabric holsters)
• Two magazines
• Two magazine pouches
• Sturdy gun belt (with belt loops on your pants)
• 100 rounds of factory ammunition
• Notepad and pen (strongly recommended)

Recommended Attire

• Climate-appropriate short- or long-sleeve shirt with a high neckline (no low-cut/V-neck tops)
• Pants with belt loops (required for holstered draws)
• Ball cap recommended
• Closed-toe shoes

EVENT REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Course Transfer: With 72-hour advance notice of the event date we will issue a unique re-registration code for course transfers.
Cancellation Refund: Refunds for 50% balance of event fee, if no transfer is possible, are issued in the form of store gift cards only but ONLY if we are notified of the cancelation up to 72 hours in advance of the event date.
No-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
Same Day Cancelations: Same day cancelations are non-refundable as spots in classes are quick to fill and we will be unable to resell that spot in the event or give an individual on a waitlist adequate time to purchase that spot.
