Brought my wife in to do some shooting. We were welcomed by the friendly customer service, went over the correct procedures for the range, etc. An overall great time and will be recommending to others.

Brought my fiancé and a group of friends/family this past Saturday for a surprise 30th for the VIP package. Howell’s was great to work with! They assisted me in all the planning for the event and everyone had a blast the day of. Their building is clean, spacious and well organized. The staff were all very knowledgeable and helpful. As someone who was not comfortable handling a gun, I left feeling much better about it. Thank you to the staff at Howells for making our experience a great one! We will be back!

I’ve purchased multiple guns from Howell’s–always a good experience. Employees are friendly and helpful without being pushy just for the sake of a sale. They seem to have a pretty good, often-changing selection of both new and used guns. Prices are usually reasonable. One of my favorite gun shops.

Yesterday was the first time We went to Howells and We had a blast. Everyone is very so friendly and the 2 guys that were in the range with us were extremely helpful when Tony’s gun jammed. We’ll be going back in 2 weeks to get more shooting time in and We would recommend Howell’s to everyone!

Howells is the best gun shop / indoor range in the state. Their staff’s customer service is top-notch. Kathleen out front made my girlfriend and I feel extremely welcomed. She answered all of our questions and helped find my girlfriend the perfect firearm for the range. Once we went inside the range, we were welcomed by Shane. He is outstanding. He made us feel comfortable, aware and was very helpful. He was super knowledgeable in all aspects of firearm safety and firing. I would recommend this place to everyone, beginning gun owners and experienced ones. Keep up the great work.

Absolutely awesome experience the range is great with a lot of fun activities. We had our company Christmas party there and the staff was awesome. I bought a gun at a very reasonable price as well.

I just had my first firearms lesson with instructor Tatiana Whitlock. Her professionalism, depth of knowledge, and immediate ability to build rapport make her – as everyone already knows – a truly great teacher. I learned so much and can’t wait to take another lesson, and possibly join her Tuesday evening group of women shooters. The range itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly and professional. This range is right off of exit 63 in Gray, making it very accessible too. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to get back! Thank you to all at Howell’s.

GREAT experience. These guys are definitely my go-to gun shop now. I was looking for a specific rifle and checked ALL my usual places all over Maine none of which we’re able to find this firearm for me. Within a couple minutes the awesome folks at Howell’s nailed one down, and at a great price. They are not only helpful, but super friendly. If you’re looking for a firearm at a good price stop by Howell’s. I’m sure if your experience is anything like mine you will not be disappointed.
