5/14/26 – Intro to Red Dot Pistol
Intro to Red Dot Pistol is a focused 4-hour course for shooters who want fast, repeatable results with pistol-mounted optics. Perfect for shooters moving from iron sights or anyone tired of fighting common red-dot problems, this class gives straightforward, proven techniques you can use immediately on the range and in dry fire at home.
You’ll get hands-on instruction explaining how red dot optics work, plus targeted coaching on rapid dot acquisition, staying on target through recoil, and sharpening your visual discipline. Drills are practical and easy to follow, built to improve your speed and accuracy without over-complication. This course equips you with a clear plan for continued improvement so you leave confident and ready to progress.
Required Equipment
- Eye protection & hearing protection
- Functional semi-automatic handgun in .22 LR, .380, or 9mm
- Pistol must have the optic pre-installed
- Optic zeroed for 10, 15, or 25 yards
- Optic user manual and sight-adjustment tools
- Spare optic battery
- Minimum of three magazines
- 150–200 rounds of factory ammunition
- Notepad and pen (strongly recommended)
- Pre-authorized shooters may work from the holster: Holster, belt, and mag pouches
Recommended Attire
- Climate-appropriate shirt with a high collar (no low-cut/loose necklines)
- Pants with belt loops (required for holstered draws)
- Ball cap recommended
- Closed-toe shoes
EVENT REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Course Transfer: With 72-hour advance notice of the event date we will issue a unique re-registration code for course transfers.
Cancellation Refund: Refunds for 50% balance of event fee, if no transfer is possible, are issued in the form of store gift cards only but ONLY if we are notified of the cancelation up to 72 hours in advance of the event date.
No-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
Same Day Cancelations: Same day cancelations are non-refundable as spots in classes are quick to fill and we will be unable to resell that spot in the event or give an individual on a waitlist adequate time to purchase that spot.
