Step into the world of the iconic 1911 in this three-hour workshop. Refine your handling of this timeless platform through a focused, performance-driven training session designed for shooters with a solid foundation in handgun safety and operation. This course dives into the unique mechanics and manual of arms that define the 1911, using diagnostic drills and skill-building exercises to help you run the platform with greater efficiency, precision, and control in both defensive and performance-focused contexts. Participants must be proficient in safe gun handling and holster work.

THIS COURSE WILL THOROUGHLY COVER

• 1911-specific safety protocols and manual of arms

• Building an efficient draw stroke with frame-mounted thumb safety engagement

• Precision marksmanship and trigger control with a single-action trigger

• Reload techniques for single-stack magazine systems

• Diagnosing and clearing malfunctions unique to the 1911 platform

• Recoil management and cadence control

• Target transitions and rhythm drills to build repeatable accuracy under pressure

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• 1911-style handgun (any caliber)

• Quality belt and belt-mounted holster (no leather holsters, Serpas or collapsible holsters)

• Minimum of 3 magazines

• 200 rounds of factory ammunition

• Eye and ear protection

• Appropriate range attire

Course Transfer: With 72-hour advance notice of the event date we will issue a unique re-registration code for course transfers.
Cancellation Refund: Refunds for 50% balance of event fee, if no transfer is possible, are issued in the form of store gift cards only but ONLY if we are notified of the cancelation up to 72 hours in advance of the event date.
No-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
Same Day Cancelations: Same day cancelations are non-refundable as spots in classes are quick to fill and we will be unable to resell that spot in the event or give an individual on a waitlist adequate time to purchase that spot.
