Do It In the Dark: Introduction to Reduced Light Combatives
Duration: 8 hours
Date: October 6th, 9am – 5pm
Course Fee: $250 + range fees ($25 range fee due to Howell’s upon check-in for all non-Howell’s members)

Introduction to reduced light Combatives covers the basics of white light usage in the context of self defense for the armed citizen. Up to 85% of humans sensory input is visual. Don’t dither in the dark, let us shed some light on your after hours Combative capabilities.
Subjects include:
- Foundational skills
- Strong hand only shooting
- Handheld & Weapon mounted lights
- Discussion of Photonic barriers, lumens & candela
- Dry fire exercises
- Live fire exercises
- Individual Capabilities and Limitations
- Handheld and WML manipulation
- Force on Force
- Rapid decision making & More
Required gear:
- EDC pistol
- Quality holster(No serpas, or nylon holsters)
- 2 mags minimum
- White light pocket flashlight
- Weapon mounted light is STRONGLY recommended
- Minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition
Pre-Reqs:
Students must have a good understanding of safe firearms handling and range etiquette. It is strongly recommended that students have taken a previous defensive handgun style class prior to registration.

ABOUT Chief Instructor – Tim Kelly
Tim Kelly is the owner of Apache Solutions Firearms Training in Yadkinville, NC. Tim started Apache in 2017 with the intention of creating a stronger and more competent armed society. He recognized the need for safe and effective firearms training in his community and structured his business accordingly. In 2021, Apache taught over 900 private sessions and 1100 students in classes throughout the year. A dedicated husband and father, Tim has a strong desire to lead and help others achieve their goals.
